Fusion Birthday
Hello!
Hope you had a great day! I am feeling a bit better today! Thankfully the aches and chills have left and don't seem to be coming back! I still have yet to get into the craft room though! Thankfully I have a few cards left from last week that I can post!
I tried out the Fusion Card Challenge this week! I tried to combine both the photo and the sketch. Not sure how well it turned out but it was a stretch for me to do a combo card!
I love grey and yellow together and loved the look of the woodgrain in the background! I also love a good sketch challenge so I took the plunge! I love the Chalk Talk stamp set and don't get to use it near enough! I realize that the colours are backwards on my "chalked" tag but it's too late to change it!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Very Vanilla, Smokey Slate, So Saffron
Stamps: Chalk Talk, Petite Petals
Ink: Versamark
Other: White Embossing Powder, Silver Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Bakers Twine, Chalk Talk Framelits, Petite Petals Punch, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you have a fabulous day!
Jen!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #92
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're all doing well! It's been a busy week so far and I'm looking forward to Friday! Our kids here in Ontario are still in school (at least they are in our school board)! We have until Thursday and we are counting the hours! I'm looking forward to being done my jobs at the school as well!
Wednesday brings us another sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches! I'm this week's hostess and I've created a sketch that is a bit curvy! I can't wait to see what you come up with on your cards!
I couldn't wait to use the new Chalk Talk stamp set (and of course the coordinating dies). Who doesn't love something that makes life easier (like the dies do!)? As I've mentioned before I LOVE the new Quatrefancy Specialty DSP. I couldn't pass up on the fabulous Pool Party/Island Indigo combination! I used the Pool Party embossing powder to create the image!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Pool Party (coordinations), Island Indigo, Whisper White
DSP: Quatrefancy Specialty
Stamps: Chalk Talk
Ink: Versamark
Other: Pool Party Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing Powder, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon
Caleb's class put on some Robert Munsch plays today for the parents! Caleb and three of his friends were staring in 50 Below Zero. Caleb played the father! His group did a fabulous job! They are so sweet! This is Caleb sleeping outside in his "pyjamas" while Jason (played by Ian) is trying to wake him up!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day! Something I learned this week after reading a heart warming blog that if someone asks you how you are doing and you respond "tired" it sets the tone for the rest of the conversation and can actually make you feel more tired. However...if you respond "awesome" it can actually help you feel better! Give it a try!
Head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the design team has created for you!
Jen!
