First of all - do not pre-cut your seam binding or this won't work. Take the seam binding and try and separate the threads at the end. You should then be able to grab one or two. Once you have them, hold on to them and pull them out...as you pull out the seam binding will gather. It's actually fairly simple to do...Once your seam binding is gathered the length you need, adhere (tape?) the one end down before you cut it. Once it's cut those threads are loose and can pull out and then you'll lose your gathering.<br />I'll see if I can find a video of it and pass along the link.
