Seize the Sketch Sympathy

Hello!
Hope you are having a great week so far!  Tomorrow (Thursday) Jacob has his Halloween Parade at school.  The Kindergarten students parade around the first level of the school in their costumes.  It is just too cute!!!

I had a few minutes this afternoon while Jacob was at cooking class to craft it up!  I needed a sympathy card for a friend who's grandmother passed away over the weekend.    The sketch at Seize the Sketch was just perfect!

I used decided that I wanted to use Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight on this card.  I used the Thanks for Caring stamp set (retired) and then combined it with some Polka Dot Parade Paper and a woodgrain background!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
DSP: Polka Dot Parade
Stamps: Thanks for Caring
Ink: Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight
Other: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #110

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  It's been a good week so far! I can't believe that Halloween is tomorrow!  Our pumpkins are carved and ready to go!  Batman and Robin are super excited to get suited up for their big night out!  The weather here is calling for rain...lots of rain but warmer temperatures which is not the greatest but I would rather a warm rain than a cold rain!

We have a new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches!  Rita Wright is our fabulous hostess this week! Head on over to her blog and check out her recent creations!

I really liked Rita's sketch!  I am actually thinking I'll make some Christmas cards using this sketch but I needed a thank you card for a friend of mine and her daughter!  I recently acquired my first "Rainbow Loom" bracelet and feel that a thank you card is required for its 7 year old creator!

I do love hexagons and Caitlin's favourite colours is purple so I decided to mix the two together!  I combined the colours from this week's Dynamic Duos challenge sine they were just perfect!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Stamps: Six Sided Sampler
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum
Other: Hexagon Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the fabulous cards the design team has created for you!

Hope you  have a great week!

CAS(E) This Sketch Christmas

Hi!
I was able to sneak into the craft room for a few minutes this afternoon while Caleb was at school and Jacob was at cooking class!  It really was only a few minutes as I was the cooking class driver today!  Jacob and a van full of girls!  He loved every second!  What a ladies man....I'm getting scared!

I haven't had a chance to create much lately and wanted to get a card created for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.   I saw this sketch and knew immediately I wanted to use the new Christmas star!

I love black and silver cards! I know they're not truly traditional but I wanted to see how it looked!  I had created another card a few weeks ago using blue and silver....I decided to recreate it in black!

The blue card was made using Silver Glimmer cardstock which honestly doesn't stick that well.  The black card was created using the silver foil sheets - WAY better!!!!

I do love the new Christmas Star single stamp!  The best thing is that right now it's on sale at Stampin' Up!  25% off!!!!  Stock up now while you can!

Supplies:
Card #1
Cardstock: Basic Black
Stamps: Christmas Star, Four the Holidays
Ink: Versamark
Other: Silver Foil Sheets, Silver Embossing Powder, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Card #2
Cardstock: Silver Glimmer, Midnight Muse
Stamps: Christmas Star, Four the Holidays
Ink: Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I will hopefully have another card for you tomorrow!!!

Have a fabulous day!

Happy Wednesday!  I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  I have spent a lot of time this week at the school helping out.  I do enjoy seeing those smiling little faces and think the teachers at our school do an amazing job!   It's a pleasure to be able to help them out during the day.

Today brings us a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  The incredibly talented Jen Mitchell is our hostess this week!  Jen creates the most fabulous cards!  I loved her sketch this week and thought of a ton of different cards I could have created.

Retro Christmas!

Hello!
Sorry I've been so MIA lately!  It's been a crazy few weeks!  I have made a few cards and photographed them but haven't been able to blog!  Hopefully this week and next week I'll be able to get things back on track!

I was so fortunate to have my mom and dad here this weekend to celebrate my birthday with me!  We had such a good weekend together!  I do wish they lived closer and we could see each other more often!

I had created this card a while ago using a retro sketches sketch!  I really do need to get going on my Christmas cards!  I really do need to get going on my Christmas cards or they may never get done!!!

I really do love Ornament Keepsakes!  It's such a versatile stamp set.  I also like for people to realize that you can still use your retired stamp sets.  This is one of my favourites and it won't be going anywhere any time soon!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White
DSP:  Winter Frost Specialty
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Sentiment (PTI)
Ink: Island Indigo, Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Holiday Ornaments Dies, 1" Circle Punch, Dimensionals

I will try to get another card posted tomorrow!

Hope you have a great day!

Fab Friday on Wednesday!

Hello!
Even though I got a few minutes in my craft room I didn't accomplish anything...sadly!  I have been feeling very unmotivated lately and just couldn't come up with something to create!  I had the pleasure of making a really fun 4th birthday candy bouquet this past weekend - photo posted way below!  It felt fun to make something different from a card!

I had made a card for this week's Fab Friday challenge a while ago but kept forgetting to bring my camera downstairs to download the picture!

I love the Mosaic Madness stamp set and thought I would do another (sorry....) black and white card!  I threw in a hint of Melon Mambo because, well, who doesn't love pink?!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps: Mosaic Madness, Four You
Ink: Basic Black, Melon Mambo
Other: Mosaic Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Boho Blossoms Punch, Dimensionals

Here's a little picture of Sweet Sadie's 4th birthday bouquet!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a fabulous day!
